Illustration Friday -- Robot

Here is my illustration for this week's theme, Robots. Honestly, I am not happy with how it scanned. The funny thing is that I am very happy with the real drawing. Anyway, I am working on a second robot. One that is more sinister and realistic, less cartoony. My new graphics tablet should be here Monday. Maybe I'll play around with it and submit a second or third robot this week.

My vision for this illustration came from a number of different robots I have been introduced to over the years, but it probably most resembles my favorite robot from the Disney movie, The Black Hole. I guess you can say this is sort of like a younger version of Old B.O.B. Posted by Picasa

I love your robot. He looks like a Superhero ("no capes!").

Wonderful work, as usual!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I use artrage (go to: www.artrage.com.) It's a free program that's easy to figure out. I like it so much that I decided to get the $19.95 updated version and am very pleased with it.

What? No love for V.I.N.Cent???

This is a fun drawing Lou...I wonder what this guy runs on. Hope it isn't gas, we'll have to shut his arse down for a few months if that's the case.

Very cool. He reminds of a old cartoon character. Great job.

MsDabble: Thanks for letting me know. I will have to check that out.

Catraven: Thanks. I guess I had a happy attitude when I did it.

Princess: Yes, is is very super happy. I hope you enjoy his twin as much.

Trevor: Well, what can I say. I guess I like the elderly better?

HMMM. I wonder. Maybe he can run off of garbage like in Back to the Future 2 or 3 or 15 or something like that :)

Tony: Thanks. he does look a little like that. I have had old cartoons on my mind lately, maybe I was unconsciously inspired by them.

Thanks to all of you for stopping by and commenting!
