Monster, Part II

Drew this guy last night while watching the George Mason/Wichita State basketball game. Colored it this morning, while my son ate breakfast and wife got ready for her conference.

This week's Illustration Friday is right up my alley. I just love drawing monsters.

BTW, for those who do not already know George Mason (a #11 seed) won and will be facing UCONN on Sunday. If UCONN continues to play like they have been (not like the #1 seed that they are), GMU has a standing chance to beat them. Love rooting for the local team! Posted by Picasa

Great monsters... this one and the one below. At first, I thought the Ozzy drawing above was the monster post. Great drawings! Really liked scrolling through the whole site... I agree with your 'Walk The Line' review, but I didn't have any problem with Witherspoon.

Oh, and my 'local' team is UCLA (300 miles away), having a mother who went and a son who goes there. Go Bruins.

Michael,

Thanks. I enjoyed doing both. Time... who has time? I have just learned to multi-task with kids. Oh, and let other responsibilities go unfinished. Just ask my wife. ;)

mbc,

You're welcome. I enjoyed your site. Thanks for coming by mine and thanks for the compliment.

Vern,

Hopefully, you did not look like this guy while eating it. ;)

Twisselman,

Thanks for stopping by and sorry for the confusion. Yesterday was a day where the pen knew no end. Glad to hear you visited the whole site and liked it.

Congrats on UCLA winning last night. Looks like they are one step closer to meeting up with the Patriots of George Mason. :)

Thanks for stopping by. I felt the fish head was the finishing touch on this.

I love this guy! Sea monsters are a cool idea for this topic. How about those GM games over the weekend?! Now that's quality college basketball!! I'm excited for the next matchup. Hope they go all the way!

I think this sea monster turned out pretty good. I tried a new style with the colored pens and stippling rather than my normal contour line shading.

Go GM! Looking forward to this next round.

What is that, a periscope-head shark? a Remade Napoleon Fish, a la China Mieville? nice! well, nasty, but that's nice in monster's world.

Thanks for visiting my website Lou. i checked out some of yours (you got a lot, dude) and I think you should have more pictures of you....although the hairy shins are a good start.
