What a fabulous idea, and rendition. Sometimes it takes a marriage....a marriage of nature and material too. I hear New York is "like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder, how I keep from going under...huh, huh, ha ha..."
Can you hear that toon...I have been singing it all week.
hey, why don't we all plant trees on our skyscrapers! I will if you do!
good one!
All those lush trees atop a crowded sea of buildings, all the tall buildings in beautiful colors, what a cool idea. though it is a concrete jungle and I love how you have portrayed it. The haiku is perfect with your piece. Excellent!
One of your skyscrapers looks like a kazoo!
I wish the concrete jungle I live in looked as pretty as this!
Tokyo factoid for the day:
Shinjuku ward requires all new skyscrapers to include area for a rooftop garden in an effort to cut down on the severe heat island effect we have here.
fun illustration… is that money flying out the window of all those colorful buildings÷
nice idea lou and well done...that's cool you illustrated one of your wife's poems...it's fun to work on stuff together :) I've been meaning to tell you I really like the self portrait too...I may actually post last week's IF today, I just never got around to last week
As I was waiting for your page to load, I looked closely at your fabulous banner...are they chocolate chip cookies or potatoes in front of the doorway?!
love this illustration... great colors and details!!
