This is a house in my neighborhood that people really do live in. They obviously do not use the front door often.

The house is circa 1870.

This reminds me a lot of some of the places I've seen when I lived in Winchester, VA. There are some like this here in Leesburg as well. Even though they're falling apart they still have way more character and durability compared to so many of the newer structures going up out my way.

I like this picture a lot, too, Lou. To echo what Steve wrote, I just read an article on MSNBC about the quality of the homes built during the housing boom in previous years--apparently, a lot of those houses are practically like cardboard. That house you photographed has good, solid bones--now, all it needs is a good spit shine. xo
