Well, this is a day that only occurs once every 100 years.
So, what did I do to celebrate it. I walked around downtown with my boys and took some pictures to upload to the Flickr group dedicated to this day. The group is hoping to put together a book of photographs where all proceeds will go to UNICEF. Looks like a good cause. I'm excited.
It was a great day. We started with a mid-morning snack at the local bagel shop and them went to the library. We relaxed in the pool and finished the day with a nice dinner out. Tomorrow will be more relaxation by the pool and not much more.
What did you do today?

Y'know, I can't even remember now what I did (only two days later!)!! Oh yeah, I swam in the pool (with you), I ate dinner out (with you), and I watched a movie (with you). I'd say that it was a day and evening well spent. xo
James Bond's mother had triplets on that day...
nice pictures lou, sounds like y'all had fun...btw just got lightroom and am looking forward to installing it...you inspired me ;)
Cate - I'm right there with ya. This summer has been a blur. And yes, it was well spent.
Tony - Interesting. I never though about James Bond's mother. Too bad she didn't have septuplets. That would have been really cool.
Lee - Thanks. Hope you enjoy Lightroom. There are some great sites out there to help you learn it. There are also a few podcasts if you are into them.
Cool idea. I celebrated 9 years with someone special. I'm off to look at your pics now. Cheers!
Sounds like you had a fantastic one Lou. Your kids definitely have a cool dad who I'm sure they appreciate. I spent my day at the Smithsonian naturalist Cneter, later hit the National Portrait gallery in DC (do check it out--it was recently reopened and rennovated), then saw a great band from Chicago called Tortoise, perform live at the Black Cat in DC. Something you might wanna try with your boys is a sort of photo hunt. Maybe give them certain things to search for take pics of, or go with a them, like "twenty things that are red, or yellow, or bue". Might be fun. Then you can do a mosaic with 'em of Flickr using the Flickr toys. Anyhow, great blimp shot too!
theme, i mean--geez, excuse the horrible spelling.
