I think your work is great for no training.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving the comment.Louhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06712024396339884801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21346579.post-1146081147628817662006-04-26T14:52:00.000-05:002006-04-26T14:52:00.000-05:00Thank you for the step-by-step explanation on how ...Thank you for the step-by-step explanation on how you completed this illustration. Yes, I am a converted Micron pen fan. Glad you took the plunge on two of them.

I was impressed (and glad) that the Sharpies did not leave any streaks. The fact that they have so many colors now makes it even more fun. Cathie had a pack of 18 from her teaching days.

That's funny that you said Scooby Doo. Our youngest loves Scooby Doo. Maybe it was drawn subliminally, since I watch that show with him.

Andrea: Glad to see you made it back. Hope you had a great weekend. Thanks for the compliment on my robots.

Yes, the base color was done with the same thing that you use to mark up your kids things. I then used my colored pencils to add the highlights and shadows.

I think the oldest boy liked it more than the younger one.

Thanks to both of you for coming and leaving your comments. I do appreciate it.Louhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06712024396339884801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21346579.post-1145790305315421002006-04-23T06:05:00.000-05:002006-04-23T06:05:00.000-05:00That looks fantastic. And it might have been you that put the bug in my ear about Micron pens....I think you said it in another post, a bit back....so thanks...very, very much!!

The technique you are playing with is great. Sometimes sharpies can have that streaky look like what a marker usually does, but maybe it is the colored pencil, but I don't see that at all! I like him...he actually reminds me of a monster I would see in Scooby Doo!?!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
